In 2015, Lifting As We Climb — in partnership with Funk Fest, Pepsi, Papa John’s, Walmart, Pizza Hut and others — committed to awarding $50,000 in scholarships to youth in the ten cities that the Funk Fest tour visited.
Youth selected for the scholarship demonstrated high academic achievement and a commitment to enhancing their local communities through volunteerism and program development.
